Baked goods

I have been baking for years, including doing specialty cakes, and have had a couple of marriage proposals for my various chocolate confections.

The winning bid will receive a baked item of their choice, I am listing some examples below for brainstorming purposes - you may choose among them, or I can improvise whatever you might want.  I bake with organic and local ingredients where available, and *only* use butter (never margarine).

Do keep in mind that I live in NC, and it's summer, so unless you're local, you may want to choose something that has a chance of surviving being shipped in the heat. If you're in the triangle area, I'll happily deliver by hand and your options increase drastically :)

Possibilities:
--Chocolate-Espresso To-go cups (choc/espresso ganache w/chocolate covered coffee bean on top) -makes around 40
--two batches large (3-4")  chocolate chip cookies (Mrs. D's recipe from Death by Chocolate Cookies) - makes around 50
--one batch small lemon-poppyseed cookies.  These melt in your mouth, are tiny, and make dozens.
--Chess pie
--9x13 pan baklava
--10" light and creamy cheesecake (local only) - this is *not* a heavy cheesecake!
--one batch pecan pralines, made with cream from the local dairy.  These will ship just fine and are amazingly good.  Makes around 50.
--Batch cinnamon-sugar encrusted almonds (or any other type of nut) - makes around a pound.
--any type of quick bread
--10" layered cake with buttercream frosting (local only)
--fleur-de-sel caramels (makes around 40) - can also dip in chocolate, but if you're not local, can't guarantee temper.
--1 batch custom truffles (I especially like herb infusions) (local only) - makes around 20
--1 batch bourbon balls (chocolate and pecans and hooboy bourbon) - makes around 40, iirc.

As you can see, much to choose from!
Will make and ship at your convenience.  If you want to reserve something for the holidays (when it's cooler out), that's doable as well (pumpkin-chocolate cheesecake?  Tarte Grenobloise?)

Oh, very interesting! Are you very close to Greensboro by any chance? One of my cousins has a b'day coming up soon and I'd like to get her something.

I'm about an hour from Greensboro, but it's doable. Just keep in mind gas prices when bidding :)

In fact, I'll go to $50, since I won't be at my computer for the last couple days of bidding. If I'm the winner, you will hear from me in a couple weeks!

one minute after midnight, july 15th, would be earrrrrly this morning. Not tomorrow morning (july 16th). To be less ambiguous, they should have stated it as 00:01 PST July 15th, but the fact remains that it closed Monday morning at midnight-01 am, PST. At least, that's how I'm interpreting it.

I'm on the West Coast on Pacific time and it's still July 14th here. It will be July 15th, 00:00:01 PM in about 56 minutes!

Oh! For some reason, my computer was telling me it was already the 15th on Monday. I am so confused.

In any case, is all over *now*. :)

p.s. Especially since the auction opened on July 01 at 12:01am, which everyone took to be the early morning of July 1, as opposed to after midnight of july 01 (aka July 2nd).

Can you please confirm that you've gotten the notice about winning this auction, and that you've made the payment? Thanks.

Hmm, I'm tempted to get my mom in Raleigh something but she is trying to lose weight, haha!

Yeah, not so good for that. :) Then again, life is short. Splurging is fun :)
